The Bridal Shower

Happy #WeddingWednesday!! I’m so excited because today I am sharing some details from my dreamy champagne themed bridal shower!! EEK!!! I think I was most looking forward to my bridal showers (yes I had more than one) mostly because it was a chance for me to have a girls day and visit with all my favorite ladies!! And, like I previously mentioned, I was lucky enough to have not one, but TWO showers 🙂

The first was thrown by my fiancé’s aunts. I unfortunately don’t have any pictures of the delicious food and dessert stands because I think I was a little too busy indulging to remember to take out my camera BUT it truly was such a special day for me because I finally felt like I was officially apart of the family. There were some lovely ladies I had the pleasure of meeting for the very first time, as well as some family I’ve already gotten to spend some time with, and overall I felt so loved and spoiled. Cannot say enough nice things about those women!

When my second shower rolled around, I promised myself I would take more pictures…because MEMORIES DUH!! So I thought I’d share some of the details from the day 🙂

First of all, I have to say again how thankful I am for my bridesmaids, family, and friends who came to celebrate at BOTH showers. Even if you put me in a dingy smelly bar and put all these ladies in the room with me, I think I’d still have a blast! Second of all, shout out to my mama bear for her decorating skills…she got EVERYTHING at Party City AND the décor was so cute we will be reusing them for the rehearsal dinner!

Now before I share some décor pictures, I wanted to show you guys our party favors, courtesy of my good friend Kristen. She handmade these bars of soap using plants from her garden, and boy oh boy am I obsessed!!! I’ve gotten a few bars from her now and when I was scrolling through Pinterest, I saw this cute idea and knew immediately I had to get her to make something similar. She followed the theme and used a champagne scent, and even designed them to make it look like they had bubbles 🙂 (excuse my last minute make-shift sign – I had totally forgot to get something printed so I scribbled out the sign right before I showed up!)

I love this soap for two reasons:

  1. I know everything that’s being put in it is safe and good for my skin.
  2. I have very dry skin and usually I run into the problem of drying my skin out even more when I use certain types of soap so I have to be careful. These however, almost eliminate the need for moisturizer. Everyone’s skin is different, but if you have the same problem as me, it might be a good idea to give these a try!!

Thanks again Kristen for making these for me and my guests! At the end of the day, people were trying to steal multiples so they were a huge hit in my books!

These dress cookies were another fav for me! My soon-to-be sis-in-law baked and decorated these herself and just like the soap, they were a HUGE hit!! The plate was almost licked clean lol! She was such a doll for making a batch for both my Lethbridge shower and Calgary shower, so thank you thank you thank you to her for keeping my guests full and satisfied!

Below are a few more pictures of the décor that I took before I got too involved in celebrating. Again, everything was purchased from Party City and will be reused!

Thanks again to everyone who came out to both showers and helped celebrate my pending marriage!!! 10 more freakin days until I’m a MRS!!!

Until next time..

XOXO
